Retreats.
On October 28 - 31st in beautiful Howth.
we will write around release, protection, and cleansing, as we celebrate the festival of Samhain. Samhain is the Celtic traditional gathering to celebrate the end of the harvest season and the beginning of winter or the darker half of the year. It is one of the four seasonal festivals along with Imbolc, Bealtaine, and Lughnasa.
It is a time when the ancient burial mounds were open, which were seen as portals to the Otherworld. During the writing week we will have a strong focus on celebrating our loved ones now gone and our ancestors, in communion and thanks. To celebrate with the ceremony we will hold a bonfire on Wednesday 30th the eve of Samhain.
We close out our week with a Hooks & Reels event, an evening of story and song. Please join us as the writers present their words and work from the week.
At The Boathouse, West Pier. Tickets will be released in early October.
