Hooks & Reels

As a writing workshop facilitator, I've had the pleasure of working with a diverse range of writers with unique voices and stories to tell. One of the events I'm particularly excited about is our upcoming  Hooks & Reels evening, taking place on Saturday November 11th at St Mary's at Deer Park. The event will feature a fantastic line-up including star literary guest Edel Coffey author of Breaking Point,  in conversation with our very own Mistress of Ceremonies, Dearbhail McDonald. The night will be filled with local stories, haunting music by Saltaire, and candlelight. Get your tickets here to support our local and talented writers and musicians. We are so proud and can't wait to see you all in the Church (limited parking so pool, walk, bus or train it) left of the Castle gates.

Kindly sponsored by Fingal County Council.

Showcase

Howth Writing Workshops presents, Hooks & Reels an evening performance with our writers and local talented musicians.

Six writers present their short personal essays, often heartfelt, sometimes hysterical, at time both.

Through writing to prompts in our workshops - rewriting, editing and polishing - they present their finest work to much applause. Our local musicians have brought the house down and show our community how much talent there is in our creative village.

Vision

It is our mission at Howth Writing Workshop to support emerging artist and bring those voices to the community.
