HOWTH WRITING WORKSHOP Launch

Updated: Sep 9, 2019

Dear friends, For years, when I put pen to paper, Howth always appeared on the page. In many ways Howth and the power of the written word - two passions of place and action - remained a combined dream. Until now. Welcome to Howth Writing Workshop Please join us to write out your stories. Everyone has pivotal moments, events and relationships, stories that need to be told and we set the stage to write them in the creative surroundings of Ireland's finest muse, Howth. Using crafted prompts you will write, read and give/receive supportive feedback that leads us deeper into our own story and strengthens our writing. We will weave in beautiful and natural elements of the surrounding land and seascape. Leave with new writing connections, a solid understanding of your story and a deeper appreciation of the character and nature of Howth. We have carefully chosen two incredible, different and unique venues for this social, interactive and connecting experience. Pier Writing Wednesdays 9.00am - 12.30pm in the Charter Room above the Oar House restaurant on the West Pier. Experience the atmosphere and magic of the working pier, watch fishermen repair nets, returning trawlers land their catch, and the moodiness of passing cloud on waves. Weave the Irish Sea and all she offers into your writing as you explore your own story. Starting June 19th. Every Wednesday. Lunch catered by the award winning seafood restaurant The Oar House, (included in the price). Get the train to Howth walk down the pier. Go in the front door and up the stairs.
